I've said before that I like to have a few different books to pick up and read depending on what I'm feeling in the mood for. These two are definitely different, but I'm looking forward to reading both.

I received a free copy of The Mapmaker's Children
by Sarah McCoy from Blogging for Books. The description of a story of a woman who uses her artistic talents to help slaves fleeing to the North drew me in. I'm looking forward to see how they weave that tale along with a modern story line about a woman discovering secrets from the days of the Underground Railroad and how the two women are connected. by Brenda Drake is a book that I saw at the library in the YA section. The library jumpers in the title had me hooked.
